This research analyzes the profound symbolism and allegorical depth of "Joko's Anniversary," which is considered a classic of surrealist literature, highlighting its continued relevance in the modern world. It also examines in detail of Roland Topor's artistic expression, challenging entrenched power structures and developing a deeper empathetic understanding of societal injustices. By notionally analyzing Topor's work, "Joko's Anniversary," and employing qualitative research methods, it reveals the societal mechanisms that commodify individual identity and dignity, reducing them to mere instruments of exploitation. Influenced by the themes of migration, wartime exile, and alienation, Topor's art appears as a metaphorical reflection of social turmoil. Through a comprehensive examination of Topor's ironic narrative techniques and these metaphors, this research also aims to examine political allegories in protest art. On the other hand, this research includes a visual analysis of the illustrations that Topor created for this book. Ultimately, the analysis of Roland Topor's artwork not only explains the intricate dynamics of societal power structures but also emphasizes the significant role of art in challenging and reshaping them.
